Internships

The curricula of the School of Philosophy provide for the following types of student internships:

BS in Philosophy

  • introductory internship (VI semester, four weeks)
  • teaching practice (VII semester, four weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (VIII semester, five weeks)
MS in Philosophy
  • teaching practice (IX semester, seven weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (X semester, nine weeks)
BS in Culturology
  • internship (V semester, two weeks)
  • introductory internship (VI semester, four weeks)
  • teaching practice (VII semester, four weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (VIII semester, six weeks)
MS in Culturology
  • teaching practice (IX semester, seven weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (X semesters, nine weeks)
BS in Valeology
  • internship (III semester, two weeks)
  • character-building practice (V semester, three weeks)
  • teaching practice (VI semester, four weeks)
  • research internship (VII semester, three weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (VIII semester, three weeks)
MS in Valeology
  • teaching practice (IX semester, seven weeks)
  • pre-diploma practice (X semester, nine weeks)

Methodological recommendations for practices and internships have been developed by the graduate departments and approved by the Academic Board of the School of Philosophy. Students receive all the necessary information and documentation as to their practices at the overview conferences before the practices begin. The graduate departments serve as the basis for internships, introductory internships, research internships, teaching and pre-diploma practices. If necessary, leading experts from the corresponding departments of higher educational institutions of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region are invited to provide these practices.
The bases for BS teaching practices in Philosophy and Culturology are Medical College No. 1, Hydrometeorological College, College of Culture, Kharkiv Boarding School for the Blind, Kharkiv University Lyceé. The students enrolled in BS programs in Culturology (speciality: Ethnoculturology) have their teaching practice at Kharkiv Business College.
The MS students specializing in Philosophy and Culturology have their teaching practices at the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport, Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”. The resources of the Interschool Valeological Lab are widely used to provide training for the valeologist students. There are concluding conferences are held at the end of the practices where students are evaluated according to the Regulations on Practices and Internships.
